A program of themed long Weekends in the Valley framed the Bicentenary, complemented by a program of events, exhibitions, art, music, food, and entertainment.
The Richmond Bicentenary is an initiative of Clarence City Council in association with Richmond Village Fair and Events Inc. and local community groups.
Richmond Bicentenary acknowledges and thanks those who have provided advice and guidance. The City of Clarence provides funding for the Bicentenary program.

Richmond Bicentenary acknowledges the traditional owners of the country encompassing today’s Richmond and the Coal River Valley, the Mumirimina people of the Oyster Bay nation, who were devastated by British settlement. We also respectfully recognise the continuing connection of the Tasmanian Aboriginal Community to their unceded lands and waterways since the beginning of time, and pay respect to their Elders, past and present.
